Astra says it has been creating flowers since 1947. Today the studio works from Dufferin Street within Terrain Flowers.

Astra's published story highlights longtime floral professionals Sandra Kaiser and Susan Sottile. Sandra is described as a Flowers Canada and Canadian Academy of Floral Artists member; Susan's background includes extensive Ikebana experience.
